Danielle Houston – McMaster University

Danielle is a third-year student at McMaster University, majoring in Earth and Environmental Sciences. This degree enables her to channel her passion for nature and the natural sciences into a practical, fulfilling, and exciting career. It also plays a crucial role in industry advancements, such as the increased use of renewable resources, particularly electric power, and land development.

Chelsea Nembhard – University of Guelph-Humber

Chelsea is a first-year student at the University of Guelph-Humber, pursuing a degree in Human Resources. She recognizes the crucial role of human resources in the railway industry, including recruiting talent, developing and enhancing the performance of railway workers, and ensuring safe work environments. Additionally, Chelsea has been a regular volunteer at many TRC marquee events.

Staying true to the TRC’s mandate, the TRC Scholarship Fund will promote the rail industry by providing financial assistance to students focused on pursuing a rail road career.

Scholarships are available to students undertaking a University Degree or College Diploma in a discipline that will ultimately benefit the rail industry.
