The first International Women’s Day was celebrated back in the 1908 when a group of 15,000 women marched on the streets of New York, demanding their rights. Since then, every year in March, the world joins hands together to support, inspire and motivate women across all fields of work and to celebrate women’s achievements throughout history and across nations.
From grassroots activism to worldwide actions, we have entered an exciting period of history where the world expects a gender balance.
The Toronto Railway Club embraces this year’s theme – Better the Balance, Better the World! Join colleagues and friends as we celebrate this important day.
